Margaret Jane (Harrington) Cline

     Margaret Jane Harrington Cline, 89, of Kannapolis went to be with the Lord on Saturday, March 16, 2024, following a period of declining health.

Margaret was born October 13,1934 in Cabarrus County, NC, a daughter of the late John Fletcher and Bertha Morgan Harrington. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Lee Peeler Cline, a son; Larry Paul Cline; brothers, John Hoyet Harrington, Kenneth Daniel Harrington, Charles “Chuck” Harrington and William Lee “Samp” Harrington; her sister, Lillie Mae Gainey; and a granddaughter, Stacye Marie Drye File.

Margaret was a member of Crown Point Baptist Church in Kannapolis, NC.

She retired from Cannon Mills.

Funeral services to celebrate the life of Mrs. Cline will be 2:00 P.M. Thursday, March 21, 2024, at Whitley’s Funeral Home in Kannapolis, conducted by Dr. Doug Crawley. Interment will follow at Carolina Memorial Park in Kannapolis. The family will receive friends at the funeral home an hour and a half prior to the service. 

Family members left to cherish her memory include son, Tony R. Cline and wife Miriam of Lafayette, Louisiana; daughters, Phyllis Marie Cline Drye of New London, and Connie Jane Cline Tamburi of Hilton Head; She is also survived by 5 granddaughters, 11 great grandchildren and two great-great grandsons. 

Memorials in memory of Mrs. Cline may be made to St. Joseph Hospice Foundation, 17732 Highland Road, Suite G, Box 241, Baton Rouge, LA 70810.
