Ada Saunders

Obituary: Ada "Sally" Lunell Saunders, 76, of Kannapolis passed away on Monday, July 2, 2012 at CMC-NorthEast. She was born April 27, 1936 in Iredell County, the daughter of the late Larry L. and Grace Horton St. John. She was preceded in death by her husband, George D. Saunders. She retired from Colonial Frozen Foods. After retirement, she worked for D & S Cleaning Services for many years. She loved spending time with her grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Thursday, July 5, 2012 at Whitley's Funeral Home Chapel officiated by Rev. Chuck Overcash and Rev. Marler Starnes. Burial will follow at West Lawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 PM Thursday prior at Whitley's. She is survived by her son, Dewey Saunders of Mooresville, two grandchildren: Madison Grace Saunders and Taylor Faith Saunders, two brothers, James "Jay" Harold St. John and Jerry St. John both of Charlotte, sister Barbara St. John Craver of Nashville, Tenn., and an aunt, Virgie Redmond of Statesville. Service: 2:00 p.m., Thursday, July 5th at Whitley's Funeral Home Chapel.
