Obituary: Arlie Gilbert (A.G.) Reynolds, 89, of Kannapolis passed away on Wednesday, June 27, 2012 at his home. He was born January 22, 1923 in Athens, Tenn., the son of the late Clyburn and Eva Raper Reynolds. He was preceded in death by his wife, Pauline Hilburn Reynolds in 2000. A.G. was former owner of A.G. Reynolds Construction Company established in 1940. He was a veteran of WW II serving in the US Army. He was of Cherokee Heritage. He also loved his tractors. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, June 30, 2012 at Whitley's Funeral Home Chapel officiated by Rev. Ronnie Cooper . Burial will follow at Carolina Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 PM Friday at Whitley's. He is survived by two daughters, Carolyn Galloway (Donnie) and Brenda Drye (Dale) both of Kannapolis , two sons, Jerry Reynolds(Patricia) and Roy Reynolds both of Concord, his sister, Mildred Martin, 7 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. Memorials may be made to Independence Square Freewill Baptist Church, 1615 Independence Square, Kannapolis, NC 28081.
