Albert (Jim) George Phillips

Albert George “Jim” Phillips, Jr., 82, of Kannapolis passed away on Sunday, August 9, 2020. He was born July 9, 1938 in Marion County, SC, a son of the late Albert George Phillips, Sr. and Edna Mae Morris Phillips.

Jim owned and operated Phillips Home Improvements for many years. He was also a sub-contractor for Sears for many years.  Jim and his wife, Lettie were co owners of Cheveux Styling Team for 40 years. He was a “jack of all trades” and could fix anything. He loved going fishing, especially with his family.

A graveside service will be held at 4:00 PM Thursday, August 13, 2020 at Carolina Memorial Park officiated by Rev. Gene Edwards. His family will receive friends prior from 3 to 3:45 at Whitley’s Funeral Home.

He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Lettie Phillips, daughter, Deb Goodale (Tim), son, Randy Phillips (Rachelle), grandchildren, Kevin Goodale (Sara), Memi Goings (Nick), Randon Philips, Raleigh Phillips, great grandchildren, Nixon-Kai Goins and Laiken Goodale, brother, Ralph Phillips and sister, Susie Housand.
