Alice “Faye” Beaver, 84 years old, went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on April 22, 2022. Faye was born on October 24, 1937 in Concord, NC to the late Ray Edgar and Maggie Janette King.
Faye was born and raised in the Kannapolis area, but began a number of relocations related to her husband, Gene's career. After several moves within North Carolina, she lived much of her life in Atlanta, GA before relocating back to Kannapolis upon Gene’s retirement. After an early career in banking, she served as church secretary at First Baptist Kannapolis for many years. After Gene’s passing, she later relocated to be near family with moves to St Louis, MO, and Phoenix, AZ. While she enjoyed exploring other parts of the country and experiencing new sights and customs, she always considered North Carolina to be home.
Throughout her life she enjoyed camping and travel, family and friends, reading and studying the Bible, and serving others in any way possible. She continued to serve others until her passing, often as a motherly figure offering biblical counsel and a compassionate listening ear to those around her in her retirement communities.
Those left to cherish her memory are her children; Kerry Beaver and his wife Twana of Phoenix, AZ, and Randal Beaver and his wife Jennifer of Vienna, WV; her grandchildren Bryson Beaver of Vail, CO, Kaylie Redman and her husband Mitch of Ashland, KY, and Zach Beaver and his wife Angel of Roanoke, VA; her brother Wilson King and his wife Teresa; her sisters Betty Walter, Phil Hemingway, Linda Kerr, and Polly Melton and her husband Jake; and many nieces and nephews.
A memorial gathering will be held on Saturday, June 4, 2022 between 2-3pm at First Baptist Church Kannapolis, followed by a service at 3pm with Rev. Tom Cabaniss officiating.
A special thank you to the many healthcare employees of The Fountains of Ellisville, MO, the Enclave of Anthem, AZ, and Desert Valley Hospice for the loving care they gave our loved one.
Memorial contributions can be made in Faye’s memory to World Vision or Joni and Friends.
