Alice Deal

Obituary: Alice Long Deal, 95, of Kannapolis passed away on Saturday, June 1, 2013. She was born September 20, 1917 in Rowan County, the daughter of the late David and Ida Walter Long. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dewey Deal in 1986. She retired from Cannon Mills in 1951 after 30 years of service where she worked at Plant 1 Cutting Room. She was a member of Jackson Park Baptist Church. She enjoyed gardening and working outdoors. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday, June 5, 2013 at Whitley's Funeral Home Chapel officiated by Rev. Herman Absher . Burial will follow at Carolina Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 PM Tuesday at Whitley's. She is survived by her son, Ernie Deal of Concord, three grandchildren, Doyle Deal of Jefferson, Wesley Deal of Landis and Randall Deal of Mt.
