Alice Priscilla Wilcox

Obituary: Alice Priscilla Clark Wilcox, 75, of Kannapolis went to be with the Lord on Friday, January 5, 2018 at her residence surrounded by her loving family. She had been in declining health but death was unexpected. Alice was born July 21, 1942 in Cabarrus County, NC a daughter of the late William Henry Clark and Bessie Louvenia Drake Clark. She was also preceded in death by one sister, Billie Ann Housand. Her husband, Kenneth "Sonny" Wilcox preceded her in death September 8, 2002. Alice was a 1961 graduate of Landis High School and attended Kings College. She was a lithographer at Cannon Mills for twenty plus years and later worked at the U.S. Postal Service until her retirement. She was a Member of Bethpage United Methodist Church, a volunteer for Meals-on-Wheels of Cabarrus County and loved to work in her garden. Funeral services will be 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, January 9, 2018 at Whitley's Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in West Lawn Memorial Park, China Grove. The family will receive friends at Whitley's Funeral Home Monday, January 8, 2018 from 6:00-8:00 P.M. Family members left to cherish her memory are one daughter, Pamela Wilcox of Kannapolis, one son, Brian Wilcox of Kannapolis, one step-son, Boyd "Speedy" Euwing of Kannapolis, brother, Bruce Clark of China Grove, and two sisters, Belinda Clark Cline (Tony) of Salisbury and Stephanie Clark Roach (Glenn) of Norwood. Four grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Memorials may be made to Cabarrus County Meals-on-Wheels, 1701 S Main St, Kannapolis, NC 28081, or to the National Police and Troopers Association, 549 Ringling Blvd., Fl. 6, Sarasota, FL 34236.
