Allie Beulah (Vannoy) Barnhardt Lee

February 4, 1925 — September 7, 2022

Kannapolis

Allie Vannoy Barnhardt Lee, 97, of Kannapolis, went Home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ and to reunite with her loved ones Wednesday, September 7th.

Allie was born in Wilkes County, North Carolina, February 4th, 1925 to the late James Rufus Vannoy and Annie Yates Vannoy, also deceased.

Allie was a machine operator in the washcloth department of Cannon Mills, Plant 1 in Kannapolis for 35 years. Allie surrendered her life to Jesus Christ while attending the Nazarene Church on Universal Street many years ago. Later, at the request of her husband, Robert Barnhardt, she moved her membership to North Kannapolis Baptist Church. After the death of Mr. Barnhardt, she changed churches once again, attending Roger's Park Baptist. In 2003, Allie married her best friend, Robert Cecil Lee and moved her church membership to North Kannapolis Wesleyan Church. In each church Allie attended, she served faithfully, teaching Sunday School and making friends. Her testimony declared that God called her to love and reach out to hurting people.

In addition to her parents, Allie was preceded in death by husbands Robert "Bob" Barnhardt and Robert Cecil Lee, three brothers, Rev. Eugene Vannoy, Glenn Vannoy and Rom Vannoy and sisters, Mary Jane Vannoy Key, Laura Mae Vannoy Freeze, and Clara Vannoy. Allie leaves behind several beloved nieces and nephews to cherish her memory and carry on the legacy of Faith that she professed, as well as many friends, neighbors and beloved pets.

A celebration of life service will be conducted by former pastor, Rev. Ron Haithcock and Joy Garman.
Visitation is scheduled at 1:00pm at Whitley's Funeral Home Saturday, September 10, 2022. Service will follow the visitation at 2:00pm.
Interment will be at Carolina Memorial Park in Concord following the Celebration of Life service.
