Alma Linton Kelly

Obituary: Alma Ellen Linton Kelly, 74, passed away Tuesday evening, December 11, 2018, at Tucker Hospice House. Born October 21, 1944 in Chesterfield, SC, she was a daughter of the late Charles William and Bertha Dixon Linton. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Wesley Kelly, on January 21, 2000, and 4 sisters and a brother. Mrs. Kelly retired from Fieldcrest Cannon after more than 30 years of loyal service. She was a member of River of Life Church and enjoyed crossword puzzles, watching jeopardy and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Mrs. Kelly will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. She leaves cherished memories to her children, Melissa McClure (Ron), Janice Kelly and Mark Kelly (Tisha); her brother, Carroll Eugene Linton; sister, Frances Oleta Hoffman; her grandchildren, Kaitlin Kelly, Bonnie Holt, Hailey Kelly, Jacob Holt, and Joshua and Jailin Kelly; and numerous nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 12:30-2:00 pm Sunday, December 16, 2018 at Whitley's Funeral Home. Funeral services to remember and celebrate the life of Mrs. Kelly will begin at 2:00 pm Sunday in the funeral home chapel, conducted by Pastor Brian Rabon.
