Obituary: Tracy Hatley, age 49, went to his Heavenly home on Friday, March 10, 2017 at Tucker Hospice House, Kannapolis, NC after a sudden illness. He was born April 4, 1967 in Cabarrus County, NC, the son of the late James Ray Hatley and Bette Jean Goodman Hatley. Tracy was a 1985 graduate of Concord High School. Tracy worked as an OEM Operations Manager at Cardinal Logistics Management for over twenty-five years. He was also recently employed with Vector Fleet Management. He was an avid Tarheel fan and a lover of rock and roll music. His is remembered by family and friends as a special volunteer soccer coach at the Kannapolis YMCA for many years. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by grandmother-in-law, Mandy Barnes. The funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday, March 15, 2017 at Faith Baptist Church, Kannapolis, NC officiated by Rev. James Pauley. Burial will follow at Carolina Memorial park, Kannapolis, NC. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 PM Tuesday, March 14, 2017 at Whitley's Funeral Home, Kannapolis, NC. Survivors include his wife of twenty-nine years, Melody Hunter Hatley; his sons, Chase Hatley and Chance Hatley, both of Concord, NC; his sister, Renee Hatley Barnett of Concord, NC; his brother, Brant Hatley of Clyde, NC; his mother and father-in-law, Henry and Barbara Hunter; his brother and sister-in-law, Timmy and Suzanne Hunter; and nieces and nephews, Chad Barnett, Ashleigh Austin, Dorothea Barnett, Alice Jones, Anna Kenner, Cheyanne Hunter, and Blake Hunter. Memorial may be made in his memory to Faith Baptist Church, 904 Chipola Street, Kannapolis, NC 28083. On-line condolences may be left at www.whitleysfuneralhome.com.
