Obituary: Long-time Kannapolis resident Ammeree Dayvault, 94, passed away on January 20, 2011, surrounded by her three children. Born, July 8, 1916, in Union County to H. L. and Henrietta Riner, she was married to Clement C. Dayvault who preceded her in death in 1976. She was employed by Fieldcrest Cannon Washcloth Department for 50 years. Ammeree is survived by one son, Jim Dayvault (Marty) of Lakeland, Florida, two daughters Brenda Ward (Dwight) of Concord. NC,and Carolyn Harrington (David) of Sunset Beach, NC, one brother Edison Rhyner of Indian Trail, NC, 5 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews and very special friend Mary Mitchell. Ammeree is a founding member of Second Presbyterian Church, where memorial services will be held on Monday, January 24, 2011. The family will receive friends at 1:00pm,in the church parlor; followed by the service at 2:00pm, which will be officiated by friend and Pastor Lou Pfeiffer. Graveside services will follow at Carolina Memorial Park. Arrangements have been coordinated by Whitley's Funeral Home.
