Angela Sanders Price

Obituary: Angela Sanders Price, 41 of Kannapolis passed away on Tuesday, December 4, 2012 at the Bob and Carolyn Tucker Hospice House with her family by her side. Her death follows a long and courageous battle against cancer. Angie was born on July 30, 1971 in Mecklenburg County a daughter of Lloyd Miller Sanders and Delores Heath Watts. A memorial services to celebrate and honor Angie's life will be held at 4:00 PM on Friday, December 7, 2012 at Whitley's Funeral Home Annex Chapel with Rev. Phil Bennett and Rev. Chris O'Guin officiating. The family will receive friends prior to the services from 2:30 to 4:00 PM in Whitley's Annex Chapel. At other times, the family will be at the residence. Angie was a 1989 honors graduate of Northwest Cabarrus High School, attended UNC-Charlotte, and was a 2008 graduate of Cabarrus College of Health and Science where she earned an Associate of Science Degree as a Medical Assistant. She was totally dedicated to her position as a medical assistant at CMC-NE oncology and the cancer research dept. Angie was a member of Concord First Assembly. She enjoyed spending time with her family, traveling to the beach and mountains and especially enjoyed watching her son Jacob participate in sports. Quality of life was important to Angie and throughout her courageous struggle with cancer she was a great inspiration to her family and many friends. Her strength and love will be sadly missed. In addition to her mother and father, Angie is survived by her husband Brian whom she married on March 14, 2003, and son Jacob, both of the home, step-father; Bill Watts of Kannapolis, her sister; Ginger Collins and husband D.J. of Charlotte, and her beloved nieces and nephew; Naomi and Nathan Collins, Harlie and Ali Blue, and Abi Price. Angie is preceded in death by her grandparents; Troy and Mary Heath, and Betty and Charlie Sanders.
