Angela Denise (Dixon) Sawyer

Angela Denise Dixon Sawyer, 50, of Kannapolis, passed away on Tuesday, March 30, 2021.

Angela was born in Cabarrus County, on October 13, 1970, a daughter of the late Hayward Dixon and Rebecca Smith Dixon. In addition to her parents, Angela was preceded in death by her two brothers, Roy Lee Dixon and Bucky Edward Dixon.

Angela was a lifelong area resident and loved the Kannapolis community. She was a free spirt; who never met a stranger. She was loved by so many. She will be remembered for her kind heart. Angela loved to cook and clean. She had a passion for art and loved to draw. Most of all, Angela loved her family. She will be greatly missed.

Those left to cherish her memory include her two sons, Jeremy Cooper (Jessica), and Harley Carter, her three grandchildren; her siblings, Crystal Pope (Robert) of China Grove, Sha Kilby (Mike) of Kannapolis, Shannon Dixon of Kannapolis, David Dixon of Kannapolis, Kimberly Dixon of Kannapolis, Amy Robinson of Kannapolis, Emily Dixon of Charlotte, Amber Mcclamrock (Daniel) of Salisbury; her aunts Lisa Arnette and Nancy Clark; her companion, Johnny Brown, along with many loving nieces and nephews.

Family will receive friends from on Monday April 5, 2021 from 10:30 to 11:30 at Whitley’s Funeral Home in Kannapolis. A graveside service will be held at 12:00 P.M. at West Lawn Memorial Park in China Grove. The family will be gathering at sister Shannon’s residence 905 Barnett Street, Kannapolis.
