Angie Marie Paynter

Obituary: Mooresville- Angie Marie Smith Paynter, 41, passed away unexpectedly Thursday, May 9, 2019. Born October 7, 1977 in Forsyth County, she was a daughter of Bobby Dale Smith, Sr. of Kannapolis, and the late Wanda Ann Cope Smith. In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by her step-brother, Rick Gouldman. Angie was a loving wife, mother, daughter, sister, aunt and friend of many. Gone too soon, she will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. Angie loved all of her family, especially her son, Sebastian Fisher; and daughter, Kyleigh Paynter; who were the light of her life. She also loved her dog, Scrappy. Family members left to cherish Angie's memory in addition to her father, include her husband, Gary Lee Paynter; her son, Sebastian Fisher; daughter, Kyleigh Paynter; step-mom, Donnie F. Smith; her brother, Bobby Smith, Jr. (Marti); sister, Pam Wooten (Shannon); step-sisters, Frieda Peck (Charlie) and Donna Lewis; nieces and nephews, Kristen Lawson (Bruce), Lauren Akins (David), Kyler Staley, Braden Staley, Zack Staley, Maranda Hayes (Bradley), Meredith Saunders (Joe), Brittney Saunders (Jared), Michael Potts (Joshua), Sabrina Adcock (Kevin), Shannon Freeman and Felicia Shumpert (Tommy); great nieces and nephews also survive Angie. A gathering of friends to remember and celebrate Angie's life will be held Wednesday, May 15th, from 11:00 -12:00 pm at Whitley's Funeral Home. For those who may prefer, memorial donations may be made in Angie's name to the donor's choice of addiction and recovery centers.
