Ann Keller Rodman, 71 went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on July 2nd 2023, after a period of declining health. She was surrounded by family and friends at the Tucker Hospice House in Kannapolis.
Born on March 29th 1952 in Cabarrus County, she was the daughter of BP Keller and Min Taylor Keller. She was predeceased by her Parents, Sister, Jane Keller Black and her husband Michael Rodman.
Ann was a 1971 graduate of A.L. Brown High School and a 1975 graduate of Gardner Web University where she earned a bachelor’s degree in Education, she also attended UNCC. In the early years she taught gymnastics at the YMCA. She also taught at First Assembly Christian School in Charlotte and later retired from the Kannapolis City School system where she worked as a P.E. teacher and helped coach sports.
Ann was adventurous and always fun to be around. She loved vacations with her family and friends. She enjoyed making new friends where ever she went. She played the guitar and freely shared her faith with others. Ann loved life and even as her health began to decline, she continued to have a positive outlook. She loved and trusted her Lord and Savior with all her heart.
Ann was a former active member of Centerview Baptist Church in Kannapolis. In her retirement years she lived in Charlotte and attended Grace Christian Center where she had many close friends.
Those left to cherish her memory are her sister Terry James (Wayne) and her friend and companion Richard Benson from Kannapolis. She is survived by her nieces, Beth Windham, Kelly Cline, and Ashely Basinger, as well as two nephews, Bill James and Jason Black from NC. She also had two step daughters Meredith Lott and Amber Goodall and their children of Michigan. Ann was loved and cherished by many cousins, friends, and extended family. She will be missed.
A Memorial Service will be held on Sunday July 9th at Whitley’s Funeral Home Chapel at 4:00 pm. Officiated by Pastors Christopher Stout & Willie Rash. The family will receive friends following the service.
