She was born December 6, 1928 in Rowan County, the daughter of the late Levi Carter and Susie Bissell Carter. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Leroy Dwiggins, her son, Thomas Brian Dwiggins and granddaughter Catherine Burgess Anna had previously worked at Cannon Mills and was a member of North Kannapolis United Methodist Church where she served as Church Secretary as well as membership in the UMW and Autumn Friends senior citizens group. She was a 1947 graduate of Cannon High School. The youngest of 11 children, Anna was raised during a time of great sacrifice and commitment.
