Obituary: Annie Mae Boone, 90, passed away Sunday, February 4, 2018, at her home surrounded by her loving children. Born June 5, 1927 in Chesterfield, SC, she was the daughter of the late Richard and Ella Mae Driggers Jordan. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Louis Boone; sons, Bill and Richard Boone, her brother, Roland Jordan; and her daughter Shirley Scott. Annie was a loving and devoted Christian mother and grandmother. She loved and enjoyed being with her family and had a special love for her cockatiel, Tweety. Mrs. Boone will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. Family members include her children, David Boone (Shirley), Danny Boone (Judy), Larry Boone (Becky), Linda Carter (Brian) and Teresa Smith; 19 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren and 10 great-great grandchildren. The family will receive friends Thursday, February 8th from 12:00-2:00 pm at Whitley's Funeral Home. Funeral services to remember and celebrate the life of Mrs. Boone will begin at 2:00 at Whitley's Funeral Chapel, conducted by Jeff Cannon, Minister. Mrs. Boone will be laid to rest beside her husband in West Concord Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Rowan Hospice and Palliative Care, 720 Grove Street, Salisbury, NC 28144.
