Annie Mae Fisher

Obituary: Annie Mae Fisher, age 61, died Saturday, May 15, 2010 at her home after a short illness. She was born May 3, 1949 in Cabarrus County, NC, the daughter of the late Homer Watson Fisher and Mary Magdalene Clinton Fisher. She was employed with Tuscarora Yarns, Mt. Pleasant, NC for many years until her retirement due to disability. Annie was a member of the Baptist faith. In her later years, she enjoying spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Her special Boston Terrier, Shadow, was a dear companion. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by a brother and a sister. The funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, May 18, 2010 at Whitley's Funeral Home Main Chapel, Kannapolis, NC officiated by Rev. Rodney Boone. Burial will follow at West Lawn Memorial Park, China Grove, NC. The family will receive friends from 7:00 to 9:00 P.M. Monday, May 17, 2010 at Whitley's Funeral Home. Survivors include her two daughters, Sue Alexander & husband, Steve of Salisbury, NC and Robin Long & husband, Richard of Kannapolis, NC; four grandchildren, Boyd Alexander, Christi McLain, Patricia Mason, and Christopher Allen; three great-grandchildren, Jersey Brown, Dixie Mason, and Steven McLain; one brother, Jimmy Dobson of Leland, NC; two sisters, Martha Gainey of Concord, NC and Shirley Owens of Landis, NC On-line condolences may be left at www.whitleysfuneralhome.com.
