Annie Boyd Sanders

Obituary: Annie Boyd Sanders, 92, went home to be with the Lord Wednesday, January 30, 2013 at CMC Northeast. Mrs. Sanders was born December 7, 1920 in Greenville, South Carolina to the late Theodrick Powell and Annie Powell. Annie worked for many years at Sears, and she was a member of Kerr Memorial Baptist Church; She loved to travel, loved her cat "Missy" and she was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother but most of all she loved the Lord. Survivors include a son, Lowell "Buck" Boyd (Jean) of Mint Hill; a daughter, Janice Johnson (Rick) of Mt. Pleasant, NC; four grandchildren, Brandy Commander, Seth Johnson, Austin Boyd, and Dustin Boyd; seven great grandchildren, Courtney Commander, Caleb Commander, Landon Boyd, Sierra Boyd, Gage Boyd, Mason Boyd, and Annabelle Johnson. Annie was preceded in death by her first husband, Lowell Boyd and her second husband, Paul Sanders. A celebration of life service will be held 1:00 P.M. Monday, February 4, 2013 at the graveside in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens in Spartanburg, South Carolina. The family will receive friends 2:00-4:00 P.M. Sunday afternoon at Whitley's Funeral Home.
