Obituary: Annie Lee Heintz Taylor, 101, a resident of Kannapolis, is now in her heavenly home. Annie was born September 29, 1911 in Charlotte. She was blessed with a long life and passed peacefully on July 25, 2013. Now she is celebrating a reunion with her husband Adrian Astor Taylor, her daughter Carol Ann and all the others that have gone before, including her parents, Lewis Runge Heintz and Purlie Bost Heintz, her brother Raymond Heintz and a sister Helen Davis Heintz. Annie is survived by sisters-in-law; Eloise Davis Heintz of Columbus, NC and Alvarati Taylor Patton of Black Mountain (who has been responsible for seeing about Annie's care). Many nieces and nephews on both sides of the family are still here to remember all the good times. Annie was a faithful member of Calvary Baptist Church, having live just across the parking lot for more than 60 years. She was active in her church until her health prevented her from attending in person. After becoming homebound, she still kept in close touch with her church. Annie's family appreciates her special friends in church for their love and care over these last years. She will be forever remembered as a very sweet, kind and gentile lady. Her body became frail near the end but her spirit was alive. She wasn't able to speak much but she had that special way and a sweet smile that said "I love you" up to the end. We know that she lives on and that we will all reunite one day. We celebrate her life and praise God for blessing her with so many good years. Annie will be missed. Funeral services will be held at 2:30 PM Sunday, July 28 at Whitley's Funeral Home Annex Chapel, with Rev. Darrell Coble and Rev. Max Smith officiating. Burial will follow at Carolina Memorial Park. Visitation will be at the Annex Chapel one hour prior to the funeral. Online condolences may be left at www.whitleysfuneralhome.com and memorials may be made to Calvary Baptist Church, 703 Buick Ave, Kannapolis, NC 28083
