Annie Cox Weddington

Obituary: Annie Cox Weddington, 89, passed away, Wednesday, August 16, 2017, at Tucker Hospice House. She was born July 31, 1928 in Anson Co. to the late William Howard Cox and Liza Johnson Cox. Annie worked for Cannon mills Plant #1 for 29 years as a spinner. She was preceded in death by her husband Luther M. Weddington in 2004, sister Ollie Robinette, and brother Joe Cox. Annie is survived by two daughters Diane Weddington of Walnut Creek, CA, Wanda Weddington of Kannapolis, four grandchildren, Aura Lenore, Madeleine, Alex, three sisters Tina Elwood, Clara Gardener, and Lillie Holcome all of Kannapolis, one brother James Cox of Lake Tillery.
