Annie Ruth Martin Iannotte Wetter, 86, of Kannapolis, passed away on Thursday, November 13, 2019 at Transitional Health Care after a period of declining health.
Born on January 3, 1933 in Cabarrus County, she was the daughter of the late Jesse Owen Martin and Molly James Martin Cannon. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Jesse “Sonny” T. Martin, and sisters, Shelby Darnell and Mary “Biddy” Virginia.
During her career, Annie worked as a sales representative for Shoe Show and as a coordinator for an adult group home in Kannapolis. She attended St. Joseph’s Catholic Church for several years. She had a passion to help others and was a very involved advocate and supporter of the local AA group at Kannapolis Church of Christ.
Those left to cherish her memory include her daughter, Joan (Jean) Beasley; sons, John (Sharon) Iannotte and James (Pam) Wetter; sisters, Joyce “Mickey” and Josephine; five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren, who will all miss her dearly.
A visitation will be held at Whitley’s Funeral Home on Friday, November 15, 2019 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, November 16, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at Carolina Memorial Park with Kirk Sams officiating.
The family welcomes flowers, but for those who prefer, donations in Annie’s memory may be made to Kannapolis Church of Christ, Attn: AA, 2315 Concord Lake Road, Kannapolis, NC 28083.
