Obituary: Anthony Howard Mullins, 48, of Kannapolis passed away on Saturday, Oct. 14, 2017 from CHS-NorthEast after a brief illness. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Thursday, Oct. 19 at Whitley's Funeral Chapel with Rev. Eric Pruitt officiating, burial will follow at Carolina Memorial Park with military honors conducted by the National Guard and the Cabarrus County Veterans Honor Guard. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday, Oct. 18 from 7:00 to 9:00 PM. Anthony was born Oct. 31, 1968 in Grundy VA, a son of the late Joe D. Mullins and Mrs. Charlotte Brown Mullins of Pilgrims Knob VA and was preceded in death by his brother, Billy Ray Mullins. He was a veteran of the US Army serving in Europe. Anthony is owner and operator of J.D. Raffaldt Inc. bridge construction. He will be remembered for his generosity and his strong work ethic. He will be dearly missed. In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife, Julie Raffaldt Mullins, his sons; Michael Ryan Mullins (Rachel) of Denver and Josh Bryan Mullins (Brittany) of Concord, 1 granddaughter, Lillian Grace Mullins and his brothers Jimmy Mullins of TN, David, Richard and Joseph Mullins of VA and Dewey Mullins of WV.
