Obituary: Anthony Eugene "Tony" Yerton, 56, of Concord died unexpectedly at his home on Tuesday, June 5, 2018. A memorial service to celebrate his life will be held at 2:00 PM Tuesday, June 12 at Pitts School Rd. Baptist Church, with Rev. B. Scott Davis officiating. The family will receive friends from 1 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday at the church. Tony was born March 10, 1962 in Charlotte, the son of the late Kenneth Yerton and Mrs. Mary Burleson Ashby of Concord. In addition to his father, Tony was preceded in death by his wife, Deborah Jean Woodcock Yerton. He attended West Charlotte High School and held many jobs. He enjoyed living on the coast but moved back to Concord to be with his family. Tony was a loving father, grandfather and son. He will be dearly missed. His memory will be cherished by his daughters, Amanda Welch (Miguel) and Brooke Yerton (Derek), his beloved grandsons, Marley and Dominic and his mother and step-father, Mary and Bill Ashby, all of Concord.
