Obituary: April Lea Hursey Poteat, 40, of Enochville, passed away Tuesday, June 11, 2019. A memorial service to celebrate her life will be held at 10:00 AM Friday June 14, at Whitley's Funeral Home Annex Chapel. April was born August 15, 1978 in Cabarrus Co. NC. She was the daughter of Marla Frances Overcash Todd and Terry Hursey (Susan). April graduated from South Rowan High School and attended Rowan-Cabarrus Community College. She worked in retail sales and was a loving mother, daughter and sister. She will be dearly missed. She is also survived by her children, Brennen Manus (Brooklyn) and Brayden, Brodie and Brooke Poteat, her sister, Casey Hursey Wattinne (Eric), her brother, Jay Todd (Kim) and her grandmother, Blondell Overcash.
