Arthur Neal Cooper

Obituary: Arthur Neal Cooper, 65, of Kannapolis passed away on Friday, June 2, 2017 at CMC University Hospital. He was born August 1, 1951 in Williamsburg, VA to the late David Cooper and Jeanne Miller Cooper. Arthur served and retired from the U.S. Navy. He enjoyed many things in life. He loved fishing, reading, bird watching and watching Westerns and Sci-Fi movies. He was preceded in death by his sister Linda Jean Belt. Those left to cherish his memory, his wife, Leticia R Cooper, his four children, Anne Marie Hatfield (Steven) of Kannapolis, NC, Michael Cooper (Cristina) of Westminster, CA, Christine My (Rikki) of Kannapolis, NC, Christian Cooper of Kannapolis, NC, six grandchildren, two brothers, David Cooper and Steven Cooper, one sister, Donna Westmoreland, sister-in-law, Aida Payne (Timothy), and nephew Nathan Payne. Graveside service will be held 1:00 PM Thursday, June 8th, at the Old Historic Salisbury National Cemetery with Military Honors. Online condolences may be left at www.whitleysfuneralhome.com.
