Audrey Cook Quay

Obituary: Audrey Ann Cook Quay, 74, of 1909 Pennsylvania Ave., Kannapolis, NC died at CMC-NorthEast in Concord on Saturday, May 08, 2010. Her death was unexpected. Mrs. Quay was born on January 21, 1936 in Mooresville, the daughter of the late David J. Quay and the late Marcie A. Cook Quay. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by 2 sisters; Pauline Price and Aileen Little and a brother; J.P. Cook. She has resided in Kannapolis since 1952 and is a member of Royal Oaks United Methodist Church. She has devoted her life to her loving family. She is survived by her husband, Bobby Quay and 2 daughters; Melissa Q. Little and husband, C.F. "Buck" Little of Concord and Penny Q. Knight and husband, Gene of Rock Hill, SC. Also surviving are 2 brothers; Joe Cook of Troutman and David "Junior" Cook of Mooresville and a sister; Betty Millwood of Charlotte and a "special" sister-in-law Katie Cook. The funeral service for Mrs. Quay will be held at 4:00 p.m., Monday, May 10th at Royal Oaks U. Methodist Church with Rev. Jessie Rogers conducting the service. Burial will take place at Carolina Memorial Park in Kannapolis. The family will receive friends at the church from 2:30-4 p.m. before the service. The family will make their headquarters at the home of a daughter and son-in-law; Melissa and "Buck" Little at 4600 Annette Dr., Concord. Memorials can be made to: Royal Oaks U.
