Bailey Allison Gainey

Bailey Allison Gainey, age 41 of Kannapolis, beloved daughter to Steve and Judy Gainey, passed away after a year of declining health at Atrium Health-Cabarrus.

Born in Cabarrus County on April 11, 1981, she was the daughter of Steve and Judy (Ward) Gainey of Kannapolis.

Bailey was an avid Carolina Panthers fan, as well as a passionate Duke Basketball fan. She loved animals and was very proud of her high school and college tennis years.

Besides her parents, she is survived by her son Jayden Wellman of Kannapolis, and also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends from the Ward family.

A memorial service to celebrate Bailey’s life will be held Friday, February 3rd at 2:00PM in the chapel of Whitley’s Funeral Home, 1748 Dale Earnhardt Blvd., Kannapolis with Chris Ward and Toby Ward to officiate. Interment will be private at a later date.
