Barbara Ann (Callicutt) Bowles

Barbara Bowles (90) of Kannapolis, passed away peacefully and surrounded by loved ones on August 7, 2023.

She was born to Grady and Eva Callicutt and had 2 sisters Ramelle Lentz and Gwen Perdue.

Barbara leaves behind her husband of 72 years Bob Bowles and 3 daughters Freda Kay Green, Lee Ann Presley, and Victoria (Torey) Tysinger.  She had 4 grandchildren Jamie Hill, Branden Hill, Whitney Allen, and Zack Tysinger.  She was also blessed with 4 great grandchildren Lola Harvey, Marlee Hill, Olivia Allen, and Lana Allen.

To know Barbara was to love her. She was always a joy and had an infectious laugh that could take over the room. She truly valued her family and showed each and every member the same amount of love, compassion, and understanding. Even in her final days, she was able to find it within herself to bring a small amount of joy to the room to ease the sorrow of those present. That joy will live on through her memory and loving family forever. May she rest eternally and at peace in the glory of God in the heavens above.

In lieu of flowers the family kindly asks that donations be made in Barbara's name to Midway Methodist Church in Kannapolis where she worshipped for more than 60 years. We will not be having a funeral service per Barbara's wishes, she would instead like all her family, friends, and loved ones to live life to the fullest and surrounded by all those you love.
