Barbara Overcash Clark

Obituary: Barbara Jean Overcash Clark, 74, of Kannapolis went to be with the Lord on May 7, 2018 at CHC-Northeast Medical Center, Concord. Barbara was born September 12, 1944 in Cabarrus County, NC, a daughter of the late Clark Roland and Sadie Bell Helms Overcash. She was also preceded in death by her husband of 45 years; Clifford "Doug" Douglas Clark who died December 11, 2013 and two brothers Roland Overcash, Jr. and Daniel Reid "Tom" Overcash. Barbara was a lifelong resident of Kannapolis and was a graduate of A.L. Brown High School. She had retired from Northeast Medical Center where she was a respiratory therapist. Barbara was a member of Charity Baptist Church, and avid reader and loved to visit with her friends. Family members left to cherish her memory are two sisters; Mildred Davidson of Kannapolis and Helen Dellinger of Cherryville, NC and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M. Friday, May 11, 2018 at Charity Baptist Church conducted by Rev. Marty Peyton and Rev. Benny Creed. Interment will follow at Carolina Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the church from 1:00 P.M. until the time of the service. At other times the family will be at the residence of a sister, Mildred Davidson of Kannapolis.
