Barbara Davis

Obituary: Barbara Linnie James Davis, 79, of Kannapolis passed away on December 30, 2017. She was born June 12, 1938 in Cabarrus County, a daughter of the late T.L. James and Lula Carter James. Barbara retired from Cannon Mills after 37 years where she worked in the Accounts Payable Department. After retiring, she worked at Table Supply. She was a member of Centerview Baptist Church. Barbara loved gardening and cooking. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She also loved her precious chihuahua, Chico. Her funeral service will be 1:00 PM Tuesday, January 2, 2018 at Centerview Baptist Church officiated by Rev. William Rash. Burial will follow at Carolina Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 11:30 to 1:00 PM prior at the church. Barbara is survived by her husband of 62 years, Charles Davis, Sr., son, Chuck Davis, daughter, Dawn Smith (George), three grandchildren, Carrie Davis, Matthew Smith and Joshua Smith, sister, Mickey Udeck and a brother, Johnny James.
