Barbara Ann Jaquez

Obituary: Barbara A. Jaquez, 63, of Concord died February 13, 2017 at her home after a period of extended illness. Services to celebrate her life will be held at 2:00 PM Thursday, February 16 at Carolina Memorial Park mausoleum chapel with Rev. Billy Sechrist officiating. Her family will receive friends at the mausoleum chapel the hour prior, from 1:00 to 2:00 PM. Burial will follow within Carolina Memorial Park. Barbara was born May 21, 1953 in Washington DC, a daughter of the late Robert J. Millhorn and Phyllis H. Chandler. She worked for Pillowtex in Concord and then as a homemaker to her family. Barbara enjoyed cooking and loved reading recipe books. She is survived by her husband of 33 years, Jose Jaquez; her children, Raymond Cooper Fleming (Jennifer) of Rockwell, Robert Allen Fleming (Star) of Concord, and Shaun Annette Gutierrez (Roberto) of Matthews, 10 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her brothers and sisters, Anna Strout (Brian) of Spartanburg, SC, Janet Churchwell (Matt) of Ellicott City MD, John K. Chandler, Jr. of New Bern and Fred H.
