Barbara Ann Marlow

Obituary: Barbara Ann Crocker Marlow, 76, of Kannapolis passed away on Monday, Nov. 28, 2011 at the Lutheran Home in Salisbury. She was born April 18, 1935 in New Hanover County, the daughter of the late Joseph Henderson Crocker and Ada Belle West Crocker. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Frank Ray Marlow. She retired from Cannon Mills where she worked in the sewing room at Plant 1 for many years. She was a member of Westside Freewill Baptist Church. Funeral services will be held at 12:00 PM Thursday, Dec. 1, 2011 at Whitley's Funeral Home Chapel officiated by Rev. Curtis Davis and Rev. Chuck Overcash. Burial will follow at Carolina Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 11 to 12 prior at Whitley's. At other times, they will be at daughter's home, Janice Osborne, 3095 Highway 153, China Grove, NC.She is survived by 3 sons, Danny Ray Marlow of Roanoke, Va., Jerry E. Marlow of Woodleaf and Mark Alexander Marlow of Salisbury, 3 daughters, Cynthia Simpson of Landis, Pamela M. Osborne of Matthews and Janice Faye Osborne of China Grove, two sisters, Margaret Matthews of Greenville, NC and Betty Pope of Wilmington, 12 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.
