Barbara Baker Ryan

Obituary: Charlotte, NC- Barbara Baker Ryan, age 77, who had made her home at Lawyers Glen Retirement Living Center (Mint Hill section), died Friday, April 17, 2009 at the Bob & Carolyn Tucker Hospice House, Kannapolis, NC. She was born February 10, 1932 in Muncy, Pennsylvania, the daughter of the late Dr. Harold Frederick Baker and Eleanor Reeder Baker. She was a homemaker and had lived many years of her life in Jacksonville, NC prior to moving to the retirement center in February 2009. She was affiliated with the Episcopalian faith. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by a brother, Dr. Donald Reeder Baker. A private memorial service will be held at a later date. Survivors include her two daughters, Deborah E. Ryan of Charlotte, NC and Constance Ryan Kleine of Tucson, Arizona; three grandchildren, Addison Ryan Wahler of Baltimore, Maryland, Merrick Elizabeth Choate of Lubbock, Texas, and Patrick Ryan Choate of Greenville, NC Whitley's Funeral Home, 1748 Dale Earnhardt Blvd., Kannapolis, NC is in charge of arrangements.
