Barbara Jean Talbert

Obituary: Barbara Jean Talbert, 48, died Monday, September 17, 2012 at CMC Northeast Medical Center. She was born June 10, 1964 in Rutherford County, NC and raised in Union County, S.C. to the late Albert and Perl Reeves Compton. Barbara studied cosmetology; was a nurse aide; and was a member of Kannapolis Church of God. She was married to William Edward King and they had two kids. Then later remarried Randall Dean Talbert and they had a child. Survivors include a daughter, Mary Meagan Elizabeth King and her boyfriend, Alex David Livengood; a son, Richard Ian Edward King; a step-son, Randall Dean Talbert, II; a sister, Kitty Compton; and a brother, Eddie Hannon. The family will have a visitation Sunday, September 23, 2012 from 4-6 p.m. at Whitley's Funeral Home. A memorial service and burial will be private.
