Barbara Ann Cline

Barbara Ann King Cline, 84, of Kannapolis passed away on January 22, 2023. She was born December 7, 1938 in Cabarrus County, a daughter of the late Lawrence Clyde King and Anna Sue Ingram King. She was also preceded in death by great nephew, Oliver Upright, and brothers-in-law Jimmy Cline, Tommy Cline and Kenneth Upright, Sr.

Barbara formerly worked at Terry Products and then as a teacher’s assistant at McKnight Kindergarten and Woodrow Wilson Schools for 30 years. She was a faithful member of Central Baptist Church until her health declined. Barbara enjoyed all manner of crafts, ceramics and keeping up with the family history.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, January 28th at Whitley’s Funeral Home Chapel officiated by Rev. Curtis Parker. Burial will follow at Carolina Memorial Park. Her family will receive friends prior to the service from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM.

Barbara is survived by her husband of 63 years, Larry Lee Cline, sister, Janice King Upright, nieces and nephews, Susan White (Randy), Ken Upright Jr. (Phyllis), Michael Upright (Angie), great nieces and nephews, Taylor Pennell, Taylor Chapman, Ragan Upright, Myka Upright, John and Jason Upright, Brett White, great great nieces and nephews, Jaylen White, Berkley Chapman, Destiny Austin, Wesley Chapman and arriving soon, Collins Chapman.
