Obituary: Barney Charles "Goofus" Fuller Sr., 56, of Richfield passed away at Hinkle Hospice House on Tuesday, June 4, 2019. Funeral Services will be held at Whitley's Funeral Home Chapel on Sunday, June 9, 2019; at 3 P.M. The family will be receiving friends 2 hours prior to the Service on Sunday, June 9, 2019; from 1:00 P.M. to 3:00 P.M. Barney was born on Sunday, September 16, 1962 in Wyoming Co. N.Y. and was loved, taught and raised by the late Melvin and Caroline Smith. He was a Rollback driver for Mechum Hauling; which tied into his love for being a talented auto mechanic and dirt track racer. Barney also enjoyed dancing and drinking with no particular order between the two. Those left to cherish "Goofus" memories include his Sons; Justin (Amanda) Fuller of Richfield, NC. Ricky Rowlee of Richfield, NC. Daughters; Caroline (Bryan) Bishop of Denton, NC. Sarah (Scott) Smith of China Grove, NC. Jennifer (Paul) Levy of Davidson, NC. Annie Marshall of Lexington, NC. Brother; Leonard Shuggars of South Dakota. Sisters; Dora (Eric) Horne of Catawba, NC. Catherine (Buck) Mills of Lock Haven, PA. Grandchildren; Alexus, Elena, & Charleigh. Brayden, Brooklynn, Jaxen Hewett & Journee. Carmen and Rosalee Germond, Lux Hartford, Katie, Mykenzie Bishop & Bryan Bishop Jr. Alezxandria McCullah & Richard Fuller. Connie Wyatt & Makayla Bowen. Tobias and Elijah Williams and Four Great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews, His loving Fiancée Deborah Rowlee of Richfield, NC. And his four best friends Bobby (Holly) Glen, Adam (Carmen) Degraw, Nate Degraw, and Marty Coble. Barney was preceded in death by his grandson Garrett Fuller.
