Obituary: Barry Jay Stewart, 44, of 185 Mary Esther Lane, China Grove, NC died as a result of a motorcycle accident on Sunday, August 9, 2009. Barry lost his wife, Cindy Weddington Stewart, who was his passenger and partner in life, in the same tragic accident. Barry and Cindy were married August 8, 2008 and had just celebrated their first anniversary. Barry was born on July 6, 1965 in Cabarrus County, the son of Donnie Ray Stewart and Shelba Moss Arrington. He was owner / operator of Southern Automotive in Kannapolis. He was a faithful and active member of Judah Worship Center in Concord and was a loving father and son and treated everyone as if they were family. Barry died doing what he love most, riding his Harley. Survivors include his daughter , Shanna Stewart of Salisbury. Father, Donnie Ray Stewart and wife, Sherrie of Charlotte. Mother, Shelba Moss Arrington of Kannapolis. Brother, Scott Stewart and wife, Julie of Cornelius, NC and also by his maternal grandmother, Edith Moss of Kannapolis, NC. The funeral service for Barry and Cindy Stewart will take place at 2:00 P.M..m. on Saturday, August 15, 2009 to be held at Parkwood Baptist Church,conducted by Rev. Eric Burris. Entombment will follow at West Lawn Memorial Park in China Grove, NC.
