Beatrice Core Horne Rooks Hendrick

Obituary: Beatrice Core Horne Rooks Hendrick, 75, of Concord died Saturday, May 26, 2012 at St. Andrew's Living Center in Concord following a period of declining health. She was born February 22, 1937 in Union County, NC a daughter of the late Clifton Henry and Pauline Core Stegall Horne. In early years she was employed at Cannon Mills until she became disabled. She attended Pine Ridge Baptist Church in China Grove. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a son, Gary Rooks. She is survived by a daughter, Barbara Rooks, one sister, Mary Kirby of China Grove, three grandchildren and by nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be1:00 P.M. Thursday, May 31, 2012 at Whitley's Funeral Home Main Chapel conducted by Rev. Johnny Morgan. Interment will follow at Cabarrus Memorial Gardens in Concord. The family will receive friends 12:00-1:00 P.M. Thursday at the funeral home prior to the service. At other times they will be at their respective residences.
