Beatrice Keeter Holcomb

Obituary: Beatrice Keeter Holcomb, 100, of Kannapolis went to be with the Lord on Sunday, March 22, 2015 at her residence. She was born March 9, 1915 in Rutherford County, NC a daughter of the late John Henry Keeter and Martha Jane Peeler Keeter. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Arvie Holcolmb, a son, Kenneth Leon Holcomb and a daughter, Clara Marie Parham. Beatrice was a charter member of Lakewood Baptist Church. She retired from Cannon Mills with 50 years of service. She enjoyed playing bingo, doing crossword puzzles and watching NASCAR racing. Funeral services will be 8:00 P.M. Tuesday, March 24, 2015 at Whitley's Funeral Home Main Chapel conducted by Rev. Steve Lee. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6:00-8:00 P.M. prior to the service. At other times the family will be at the residence. Interment will be at a later date in Carolina Memorial Park, Kannapolis. Survivors include one daughter, Gearline Winchester of Kannapolis, one son, Larry Wayne Holcomb (Carol) of Holden Beach, seven grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren, twenty two great-great grandchildren and thirty great-great-great grandchildren. Whitley's Funeral Home is serving the family of Mrs. Holcomb.
