Beatrice Mccorkle Lefler

Obituary: Beatrice McCorkle Lefler, 86, passed away Saturday, September 3, 2016 at her residence. Born April 3, 1930 in Mecklenburg County, she was a daughter of the late Ellis and Tyna Helms McCorkle. In addition to her parents, preceding her in death were her husband Clifford Grady Lefler, Jr., USAF, Retired, who died March 27, 2000, 5 brothers and 3 sisters. Beatrice had retired as an accountant and was a proud member of Grace Bible Church in Rockwell. A loving and devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister, she will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. Family members left with loving memories include her daughters Glenna Gideon (Steve) of Olympia, WA and Dawn Lefler Shuping Przedlacki (Matthew) of Gastonia; her brother Jerry McCorkle; grandchildren Adrian Harlowe, Autumn and Trevor Shuping; her great-grandchildren Kailey, Aurora, Sebastian, Nevaeh, Lucas, Mckenna and Makaylyn; nieces, nephews and extended family. The family will receive friends Thursday, September 8th from 12:30 -2:00 pm at Whitley's Funeral Home. Funeral services to remember and celebrate Beatrice's life will begin at 2:00 pm in the funeral home chapel. Mrs. Lefler will be laid to rest beside her husband at Carolina Memorial Park in Kannapolis. For those who prefer, memorials may be made in Mrs. Lefler's name to Grace Bible Church, 6725 NC 152, Rockwell, NC 28138. On-line condolences may be made to the family at www.whitleysfuneralhome.com.
Visitation: 12:30-2:00 p.m. Thursday, September 8, 2016 Whitley's Funeral Home.

Service: 2:00 PM, Thursday September 8, 2016 Whitley's Funeral Home Chapel.

Interment: Carolina Memorial Park.
