Ben Robert Hill

Ben Robert Hill, 77, of Kannapolis, peacefully passed away at his home, Tuesday evening, December 10, 2024, with family by his side. 

Born October 4, 1947, in Cabarrus County, he was a son of the late Wilbur and Mary Fisher Hill. 

A 1965 graduate of Winecoff High, he later attended Central Piedmont Community College. Ben had honorably served his country with the US Marine Corps, serving during the Vietnam War. Following a dedicated thirty-year career with the US Postal Service, Mr. Hill retired as a well-known and loved letter carrier. A scratch, avid golfer, Ben spent much of his time and all his resources perfecting the wonderful game.

 Family members left with cherished memories include his wife of 27 years, Susan Morris Hill; his daughters, Alisa Hill and Amy Odom (Michael); grandsons, Dylan Smith and Benry Odom; his brothers, Chess Hill, Clyde “King” Hill (Debbie) and Richard “Dixie” Hill (Rosemary), nieces and a nephew.

 The family will receive friends at Bethpage Presbyterian Church on Saturday, December 14, 2024, from 1:00-2:00 PM. A memorial funeral servicwill begin at 2:00 PM in the church, conducted by the Reverend Valerie Hicks, pastor. Inurnment will follow the service at Carolina Memorial Park with military graveside rites.
