Obituary: Ben Armond Moose, Sr., age 79, of Concord died on Thursday, October 24, 2013 at his residence. His death was unexpected. Funeral services will be held 3:30 PM Sunday, October 27 at Whitley's Funeral Chapel with Rev. Mike Hubbard officiating. Burial will follow at Phaniels Baptist Church Cemetery in Rockwell. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 2:30 to 3:30 PM Sunday prior to the funeral. Ben was born November 3, 1933, a son of the late Lewis G. Moose, Sr. and Mary Corl Moose. He worked for 14 years for Frederickson Trucking as a trailer mechanic until retiring in 1997. In addition to his parents, Ben was preceded in death by his wife, Doris Ann Moose, his son, Steve Coleman and 1 brother and 1 sister. He is survived by his 4 daughters; Christy, Debbie, Myra and Sandy and by his 2 sons; Jessie and Jamie, 18 grandchildren, several great-grandchildren and his brother, L.G. Moose of Rockwell.
