Bennie Wayne Jackson

Obituary: Benny Wayne "Ben" Jackson, 69, passed away unexpectedly Tuesday, June 6, 2017. Born August 26, 1947 in Columbia, SC, he was a son of the late Bennie and Annie Rose Goff Jackson. Ben had honorably served his country as a Staff Sergeant with the US Air Force. Mr. Jackson retired from BellSouth, where he had enjoyed a successful 30 year career. Family members left with fond memories include his wife, Martha Griffin Jackson; his children Laura and Shane Boucher, and their daughter Leah, Dwayne and Janie Miller, and their daughter Chanel, Samantha and C.R. Leitner, and their daughter Brianna, and Jonathan and Tara Jackson and their son Colby; his brother Timothy Jackson and wife Nancy, and their children Brittany and Nick Harakas, and Christopher Jackson. The family will receive friends Wednesday, June 14th from 11:00-12:00 noon at Whitley's Funeral Home in Kannapolis. Funeral services to remember and celebrate Ben's life will begin at 12:00 noon in the funeral home chapel. Burial will follow at 2:00 pm in the Salisbury National Cemetery with military honors.
