Obituary: Salisbury- Bernice Adams Tarlton, 88, passed away Sunday evening, June 9, 2019, at her home. Born April 30, 1931 in Anson County, NC, she was a daughter of the late Lonnie and Cleveland Williams Adams.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William Tarlton, and her sister, Leona Adams. Mrs. Tarlton was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She was a member of Brookdale Baptist Church, where she was baptized at age 83. Mrs. Tarlton loved all of her family and her beloved cat "Lulu". She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Family members left with cherished memories include her children, William Charles Tarlton (Pam), Willie Faye Deese (Eddie), Bonnie Sue St. Clair, Peggy Jean Dickey (Lloyd) and Bernadine Bridges (John); her brother, Alonzo Adams; 11 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends Tuesday evening, June 11th from 6:00-8:00 pm at Whitley's Funeral Home. Funeral services will begin at 2:00 pm Wednesday, at Brookdale Baptist Church in Kannapolis. Mrs. Tarlton will be laid to rest with her husband in West Lawn Memorial Park in China Grove.
