Bert Mccoy Gulledge

Obituary: Bert McCoy Gulledge, 90, of Kannapolis died Wednesday March 24, 2010 at the VA Medical Center in Salisbury. He was born December 8, 1919 in Chesterfield County, SC, the son of the late Benjamin Tillman Gulledge and the late Annis Susan Allen Gulledge. He was preceded in death by his wife Mary Lee Moore Gulledge on Nov. 25, 2005, a daughter Patricia Ann Parker and a son Harold McCoy Gulledge. He retired from Grove Supply Co. in 1985 after 26 years. He was a veteran of the US Army serving during WW II. A graveside service will be at 11:00 AM Saturday at Carolina Memorial Park with military honors conducted by the Cabarrus County Veterans Honor Guard. He is survived by three children: Bobby Joe Gulledge Sr. of Kannapolis, Linda Moore of Mooresville and Elizabeth Weiser of Inman, SC, a sister Dorothy Dean of Kannapolis, two brothers Bennie Ray Gulledge and Bobby Gulledge both of Kannapolis and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
