Bertha Price Goble

Obituary: Bertha Lee Price Goble, 92, of Kannapolis died Tuesday, January 15, 2019 at her home with her family by her side after a period of declining health. A graveside service will be held at Carolina Memorial Park at 12:00 PM Thursday, January 17, 2019 with Rev. Mike Fongemy officiating. Her family will receive friends at the grave after the committal service. Bertha was born April 15, 1926 in Rowan Co., a daughter of the late F. P. and Violet Mae Sims Price. She was a lifelong area resident and longtime member of Journey United Methodist Church. Bertha was a loving and devoted homemaker to her family and will be dearly missed. Those left to cherish her memory include her husband of 73 years, Arthur B. Goble of the home, her son, Thomas W. Goble Sr. (Karon) of Faith, her daughter, Linda G. Baxter (Larry) of Kannapolis, her grandchildren; Tommy Goble Jr., Kori Johnson, Tim Baxter and Kari Privette, her 8 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-granddaughter. In addition to her parents, Bertha was preceded in death by her 3 sisters; Annie Price, Mayfield P. McClannon and Inez P. McDonald and her brother, David Price.
