Bervil D. Wells

Obituary: Bervil Delon Wells, 73, of Kannapolis passed away on Saturday, March 7, 2015 at CMC-NorthEast. He was born July 13, 1941 in Caldwell County, the son of the late Alonzo and Lilly S. Wells. He retired from George Washington University, Washington, D.C. in 1998. He relocated to Kannapolis after retirement and was employed with Modern Wholesale until 2006. He was a long standing member of God's Church of Faith where he served as a member of the Executive Board of Directors, Assistant Sunday School Superintendent, Head of the Usher Board and a member of the Sanctuary Choir. He loved spending time with his family and church. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Tuesday, March 10, 2015 at God's Church of Faith officiated by Rev. Jeff Upright. Burial will follow at Carolina Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 PM Monday at Whitley's Funeral Home. He is survived by his wife, Josephine McBrayer Wells, Children: Lisa Brantley, Dublin Ga., Ronnie Wells (Patti) Front Royal, VA, Doug Wells (Lynette) Eatonton, GA., Sharon Brigman (Darrell) Kannapolis, NC, Sister: Loretta Wells, Gordonsville, Va. 13 Grandchildren and 12 Great Grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Ronnie Wells, Doug Wells, Jacob Miller, Richie Sinclair, Brandon Williams and Larry Boahn. Memorials may be made to God's Church of Faith, 811 Elm Street, Kannapolis, NC 28081.
