Bessie Fox Overcash

Obituary: Bessie Fox Overcash, 91, of China Grove, NC died at Tucker Hospice House on February 27, 2017. Bessie was born on Oct. 23, 1925 in Alexander Co., NC, the daughter of the late William Plez Fox and the late Hester Estelle Little Fox. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Overcash who died in 1998. Bessie was a sweeper at the former Cannon Mills Co. for many years. She loved her family and will be missed by many who knew her. The service for Mrs. Overcash will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, March 2, 2017 at Whitley's Funeral Home Chapel conducted by Rev. Jeff Wood. Burial will take place at Mt. Moriah Lutheran Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:30-2:00 before the service. Survivors include her daughter, Shirley Corriher of China Grove, a grandson, Johnny Price (Elaine); granddaughter, Genee Boger (Tim); two great grandchildren; Brandi Hook Rowland, Beth Price Yanez; seven great-great grandchildren; Kaylee, Grace, Amber, Justin, Grant, Kaiden and Ella and by a sister, Marie Thompson of Virginia.
Visitation: 12:30 to 2:00 P.M., Thursday March 2, 2017, Whitley's Funeral Home.

Service: 2:00 P.M., Thursday March 2, 2017, Whitley's Funeral Home Chapel.

Interment: Mt. Moriah Lutheran Church Cemetery.
