Betsy Ann Broadway Graham, 79, of Kannapolis passed to her eternal glory on June 28, 2024 at Atrium Health-Cabarrus. Betsy had a great faith and was a true believer in her Lord Jesus Christ.
She was born in Cabarrus County on January 17, 1945 to her beloved parents the late Gene and Helen Broadway. She was a graduate of Concord High School, and Southeastern Beauty School. Betsy was a licensed hairdresser at various salons until her retirement in 2017. Betsy was very involved with the Piedmont Shag Club and was a great dancer. She dearly loved the beach for many years. Betsy took up golf in the late 1990’s and cherished the time playing at the Irish Creek Golf Club with the ladies and going to the beach as a group to play.
Betsy was an avid reader and whether a good book or her kindle she took pleasure reading on the sofa or in the bed at night. Mamaw loved her kids, grand kids and great grand kids and was proud of each.
In addition to her parents Betsy was preceded in death by her sister; Nancy Jordan and her brother; Bobby Broadway.
Those left to cherish her memory include her husband of 32 years Walter A. (Lex) Graham, daughter; Leslie (Richard) Griffin, son; Andy Rodgers, stepdaughter Kelly (Shane) Stewart, grandson; Michael (Jazmin) Griffin, granddaughter; Lyndsey (Cam) Stewart, grandsons; Anthony (Candice) Rodgers and Josh Rodgers, step granddaughter’s Rylie (Zain) Tucker and Landry Stewart, great-grandchildren; Chloe, William, Braxton and Hudson Rodgers, Jade and Mateo Griffin, great step grandchild; Zadie Tucker, brother; Chuck (Becky) Broadway.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday July 3, 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Whitley’s Funeral Home 1748 Dale Earnhardt Blvd. Kannapolis, NC 28083 with the funeral service beginning at 2:00 PM in the Funeral Home Chapel, with Dr. Steve Ayers officiating. Internment will follow at Carolina Memorial Park, 601 Mt Olivet Road, Concord, NC 28025.
Memorial donations can be made to First Methodist Church 110 W. Church Street, China Grove, NC 28023, Youth and Music Programs.
The family would like to say a special thank you to the staff at Atrium Health-Cabarrus for their care and love shown to Betsy and the family.
